總統蔡英文今出席警察節慶祝大會時表示，反毒和反詐騙是民眾最關心的事，希望警政署持續要求執行，「這場仗只許勝不許敗」，並讚許署長陳國恩上任後替警察做很多事。
警政署上午舉行「一○五年警察節慶祝大會」，總統特別出席致詞並頒獎表揚廿八名全國模範警察，有廿七名出席授獎，此外，也特別頒發獎章給日前逮捕持槍犯嫌的南投縣警察警員黃信文。
總統說，只要依法執行勤務、為治安工作打拚，「每一位員警都是我心中的模範警察」。總統特別提及日前逮捕嫌犯負傷的南投縣警察局埔里分局國姓分駐所員警黃信文，看到當時緝獲歹徒照片時，感到驕傲和不捨。
蔡總統指出，只要員警依法行政、勇於執法、將心比心就會是民眾心中的英雄，此外，有兩項人民目前最關心的社會問題，就是毒品和詐騙。
總統表示，防制毒品是政府第一要務，反毒「這場仗只許勝不許敗」，請警察全力以赴，徹底解決毒品氾濫和在校園流竄問題。
至於反詐騙，總統說，詐騙嚴重破壞社會間民眾信任，且現今型態多變，要有效打擊，「不要陷於數字迷思，要從源頭解決詐騙問題」。
